Job Description

A Stenographer is responsible for providing administrative support to senior officials in the government. Their duties include:

• Taking dictation and transcribing it into accurate and concise documents, such as letters, memoranda, reports, and presentations.
• Maintaining and organizing files and records.
• Preparing and sending correspondence.
• Answering and directing phone calls.
• Handling office visitors and schedules.
• Providing other administrative assistance as required.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023, candidates must:

• Be a citizen of India.
• Be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Have passed the Intermediate Examination (12th class) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
• Have a minimum typing speed of 80 words per minute in English and 40 words per minute in Hindi.

Age Limit: Should be minimum 18 Years maximum 40 Years

Selection Process

The selection process for the UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023 will consist of two stages:

• Written Examination: The written examination will consist of two papers:
  • Paper I: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge, and English Language.
  • Paper II: Hindi Language and Stenography (English and Hindi).
• Stenography Test: The stenography test will be conducted for candidates who qualify in the written examination.
